Mannheim School District 83 is committed to providing meaningful and engaging learning experiences for all of our students to prepare them to become productive citizens.  The Mannheim District 83 Curriculum is derived from the Illinois Learning Standards and incorporates a mixture of published curricula as well as teacher created curriculum.  As part of our students learning process, they are encouraged to implement the 21st century learning skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.  We support this endeavor with our 1:1 learning environment where our elementary aged students are provided an iPad during the school day, and our middle school students use a laptop computer to enhance their learning in our schools.

Beyond our core academic subject areas of reading, writing, mathematics, spelling, handwriting, social science, and science, our students have the opportunity to explore their talents in the areas of art, music, and physical education.  In addition, many students have the opportunity to participate in the many extra-curricular offerings that are available in our schools.

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction works to support our staff to ensure that every child has access to high-quality teaching in our district.  The vision and mission of Mannheim District 83 continues to drive our efforts to support the professional learning of our dedicated staff to assure that every student can and will learn in a creative, safe, and nurturing environment.
