This Parent and Student Handbook has been prepared as a source of practical information for the parents and students of Mannheim School District 83. Together we can assist your children in striving to reach their potential while making the learning experience enjoyable. Please take some time to review this handbook with your child(ren) and reference it throughout the year.
Curriculum Night
Each school holds a curriculum night. The purpose of the curriculum night is for parents to know what their child is going to learn where classroom teachers discuss curriculum and grade level expectations with parents. Parents are encouraged to attend this very important event.

Communications
Manheim School District 83 values communication with our families and community. The school district and schools send regular updates and newsletters to all our families. We share communication with our parents and community about learning updates, events, accomplishments, and celebrations. Parents may also follow the social media accounts for the district and the different schools.
Section 2001(i) of the ARP Act requires an LEA that receives ARP ESSER funds to develop and make publicly available on the LEA's website, within 30 days after receiving its allocation, a plan for the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services. Prior to making the plan publicly available, the LEA must seek public comment on the plan and take such comments into consideration when developing the plan. The LEA must also create an ESSER use of Funds Plan within 90 days of receiving their ESSER Funds. This plan should also be made publicly available on the LEA's website and submitted to ISBE.
